I’ve just updated Bullet Candy on Steam and itch.io with some new levels and enemies for Bullet Candy 2026 mode. You can check them out via the 2026 menu, with the options (for now) or playing all the levels in sequence, or just the levels in packs 1 or 2 separately.

I’ve also fixed a number of bugs and added the option to change you choice of renderer when you start the game if you’re having trouble getting it started on your PC. Use the launch option -r and then vulkan, direct3d12 or metal to select which on you want. At present only vulkan is supported on all platforms.

There’s also some changes to the scoring in Mini Bullet Candy, which i’ve detailed more fully in the guide i posted here on Steam. Check it out in the guide section here. I’ve also embedded it below. I’ll be adding another guide for Bullet Candy 2026 mode soon, as well as some achievement videos for the older modes.

I’m currently working on adding Bullet Candy Perfect to the mix. This was a ‘3D’ version of the game that released in 2009. In terms of gameplay it sits somewhere between the original Steam release and the 2013 remake.

I’m also adding more levels to Bullet Candy 2026 for the next Level Pack. The end goal here is to have a little galaxy of levels you can explore as you progress, rather than a liner sequence. I found a few ancient designs for this from way back in 2004 and can’t quite remember why i didn’t add it at the time.

Suffice it to say, there’s a few more updates incoming!

Hope you enjoy the new levels!

If you want to check out the game, i’ve released a mini version you can get acopy of by subscribing to my Newsletter.
